The Tulcan Worldview in 2025
After a momentous 2024, this year is shaping up to be equally remarkable for Tulcan and the world at large. As we move further into 2025, we’d like to take a moment to reflect on the unfolding geopolitical and technological landscapes and why we believe Tulcan’s guiding principles will propel us to even greater success.
Making America Great Again
The dominant story of 2024 was the U.S. presidential election, culminating in President Trump's inauguration on January 20, 2025. Throughout his campaign, President Trump emphasized restoring American energy independence, reducing corporate taxes on domestically manufactured goods, and imposing protective tariffs on imported products. At his inauguration, he declared, “The golden age of America begins right now.”
At Tulcan, we proudly support American manufacturing, and such sentiments resonate deeply with our mission. While we recognize the favorable economic environment this may create for Made-in-America businesses like ours, our enthusiasm stems primarily from our genuine love for this nation. We strive to restore America’s leadership in industry and innovation, ultimately uplifting every American. Our goal is simple yet powerful: leave things better than we found them for future generations.
What the Rise of Big Tech Means
Another core principle at Tulcan is the fundamental importance of people–both those who work with us and those who depend on our products.
This principle is particularly relevant in light of recent rapid advances in artificial intelligence.
Whether it’s patent analysis, autonomous vehicles, humanoid robotics, assisted coding, spatial computing, or AI-driven virtual assistants, many industries are already being transformed.
Clearly, AI will eventually permeate every facet of society, and embracing this technology is vital for our continued competitiveness and ability to attract young talent. We plan to use employee feedback to guide a broad implementation of AI tools across Tulcan to assist in routine tasks and increase productivity and efficiency.
Still, business is ultimately about personal connections and trust. Technology can’t replicate the authenticity of face-to-face interaction, or a simple handshake. At Tulcan, we value direct engagement and personal accountability, and we’ll never look to machines as a substitute for them.
Looking Ahead
We remain committed to steady growth here at Tulcan. We are actively seeking to expand our portfolio of platform businesses and further strengthen our existing operations. We will also continue to develop our holding company team.
Each new company joining the Tulcan family means stable American jobs, high-quality domestic products, and a more competitive U.S. economy. This is truly an exciting time, and we are confident our collective efforts meaningfully contribute to the prosperity of this great nation.
